I would say that most churches today use a projector in order for their congregation to read the lyrics during worship. Many churches still use hymn books, but as technology prices decrease and usability increases, many churches are finding that it's cheaper and more efficient to put their worship slides on the screen.
But with great power, comes great responsibility.
Even though most churches are taking advantage of being able to put the lyrics on the screen, I believe that many churches, with good intentions, do more harm than good.
